John Morgan’s passion for horticulture is self-evident.  From the tender age of 16, initially being taught how to taking heather cuttings, close to his Lake District family home, John now has a HND in Commercial Horticulture and a career spanning the breadth of retail gardening.  Today, he is the charismatic General Manager of Van Hage at Chenies, Rickmansworth, where he relishes advising customers on plant care and purchases.  During the past 18 years, John has created his own garden from scratch; including shrub borders, productive greenhouse, vegetable patch and potting shed.  He regularly makes his own compost, trails the latest gardening products and grows all manner of plants and herbs.  As a confirmed allotment enthusiast, and life-long lover of gardening, John is convinced that home-grown vegetables are simply the best food in the world!
