Blondie Mania was established in 2005 when Helen Thomas abandoned her 9-5 job where she was in the final throws of qualifying as a solicitor, to fulfill a lifelong passion for fashion and create her own collection of leather handbags. Gerard Zimmerman, already an entrepreneur brought his commercial skills to the project, giving Helen encouragement to get the business off the ground. Together with the leather craftsmanship offered by the husband and wife team Helen and Gerard met on their travels the first collection started to take shape and Helen's nickname "Blondie" became the Company's moniker. One trip turned into an extraordinary journey………
The mission was simple; to create handcrafted quality leather bags that offer both elegance and simplicity at a reasonably affordable price point. Today Blondie Mania supplies around 400 stores ranging from Fenwick to the Dorchester Hotel, Mayfair in the UK, as well as stores in Scandinavia, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Japan.
