This year in the Country Living Christmas Kitchen Theatre at our Glasgow Fair, sponsored by Stoves, we bring together some of the country’s finest food and drink producers and celebrity chefs. You’ll experience expert cooking and baking demonstrations live on stage, for free. Learn how to make delicious and creative seasonal recipes to impress family and friends, plus pick-up top tips and leave inspired.

Chefs will also share their secrets, tips and tricks, and answer all your culinary questions.

Karon will be joining us in the Glasgow Country Living Kitchen for this demonstration on Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 1pm. And 2pm on Saturday. 

Session description: 

Karon will be showing you how to make some super quick and easy foodie gifts for family and friends. From delicious Greek feta salad marinated in olive oil to handmade rum and coconut snowballs. Rich and creamy Cheese, walnut and rosemary spreading pate plus cucumber gin and toffee vodka.

Karon Grieve had had 4 cookbooks published, has presented on ITV’s The Hour and is a regular foodie expert on BBC Radio Scotland. She is the blogger and cook behind top UK food blog Larder Love and has been doing cooking demos at large events for 8 years. 

John will be joining us in the Glasgow Country Living Kitchen for this demonstration on Thursday and Sunday at 3pm and 4pm on Friday.

More about Karon:

John Quigley was born in Scotland on 23rd October 1963.  In 1982 he came to London and entered the Good Food Guide as one of the youngest Head Chefs of that time.   

He then decided to “hit the road” as chef for Tina Turner. Following on from this he took up offers to work with Paul McCartney, MC Hammer, Whitney Houston, Guns n’ Roses, the Bee Gees, Morrissey and Rod Stewart.

In November 2004 John opened his first solo venture – Red Onion restaurant.

Matthew will be joining us in the Glasgow Country Living Kitchen for this demonstration at 4pm on Thursday and noon on Friday.

The Olive Boardz is family run business ran by Matt. Originally from Chester, but then relocated to London to pursue a career in travel. Whist in London Matt began to work on a concept to design chic and beautifully curated food that would be loved by everybody. It was in early 2020 that The Olive Boardz was born. 

The Isle of Barra Distillery will be joining us in the Glasgow Country Living Kitchen for this demonstration on Saturday at 3pm.
