Welcome to Mossycup Wood, a collection of enchanting fine bone china, stationery and textiles inspired by the Tales of Mossycup Wood children’s picture books written and illustrated by Emma Dunne.
How it all began
Mossy Wood was born in 2014 with the creation of a calico doll who lived in a beautiful felt nest. The dolls, playfully crafted by Emma, were sold at fairs and were given names including; Spiderwort, Frogbit and Butterfly Pea. Known collectively as Pogglewitt these mythical characters live in trees in a secret place called Mossycup Wood.
The next chapter
It wasn’t long before Emma had a collection of Pogglewitt characters and tales. In March 2016, Emma bought her first set of watercolours and taught herself to paint. Her talents have seen the creation and illustration of a children’s story book, Mossycup Wood and a charming range of fine bone china, kitchen linens, greeting cards and gift wrap.
2019 will see the publication of further tales and an extension to the collection.
